The Mammut Barryvox 2 Avalanche Beacon is one of the leading names in avalanche safety, and it's easy to see why. It has an industry leading 70m range, a plethora of useful, life-saving features, and an intuitive user interface that guides you through the search phase with clear visual and audio cues. It even continuously checks its own operation with a self test function, so you know it's always ready to spring into action if things go sideways. PLEASE NOTE: This product has been verified by Mammut and is not affected by the voluntary recall issued for Barryvox 2 and Barryvox S2 beacons.

Display
Intuitive Visual Interface – Guides you intuitively through all search phases and provides an overview of multiple burials.
Search Features
Auto-Select – In the event of multiple burials, your Barryvox® will guide you to the strongest signal first.
Acoustical Search Guidance – A sequence of tones guides you in the direction of the buried subject and ensures that you can keep your eyes on the avalanche field during the search.
Deep Burial Mode – If a very deep burial is detected, the fine search automatically starts earlier (> 3m) for precise guidance.
Reverse Direction Function – Avoids 180 degree search errors (going past the victim).
Rescue SEND – Protective function for non-searching rescuers. In the event of a secondary avalanche it automatically switches to SEND to allow the rescuer to be located.
Search Strip Width – Mammut's industry-leading search strip width has been improved to 70 meters.
Optional Modes
Group Check – Check the transmission frequency and strength of other avalanche transceivers quickly and easily with this function to ensure correct functionality.

Additional Features
Beacons Require Training – Wearing an avalanche beacon is no guarantee of safety in avalanche terrain. We recommend that backcountry travelers take an AIARE Level One class or the equivalent, and practice the skills they learn there regularly with their partners.
