Like your friend who is always down with anything, as long as it’s something, the Faction Prodigy 2.0’s are always prepared to go anywhere with you. Their lightweight poplar and beech core makes this ski incredibly responsive – feel free to butter rails on your way over to knock off that tight tree line. With a progressive tip and tail rocker, these skis will carry you through choppy snow as well as bomber patches of hardpack. A medium stiff flex and 96 mm waist give you the most versatile package on the mountain.
Rocker / Camber / Rocker – 350mm rocker at the tip, 2mm camber underfoot, and 330mm rocker in the tail.
Medium-Stiff Flex – 6/10 – Stable at speed or on big landings, but still playful enough to butter and press.
Dual-Radius Sidecut – Borrowed from world cup race skis, two different radii on the one ski – a tighter radius forward of the boot center coupled with a 20% larger sidecut behind – lets Faction increase the edge-to-edge responsiveness so you can carve short turns whilst retaining high speed stability and control through the tail of the ski.
Transition Zone Technology – Faction’s « Blended Transition Zones » use complex curve geometries where both positive/negative sidecut and where rocker/camber meet to make turn initiation fluid yet the whole ski more stable and controllable in all conditions.
Poplar/Beech Cores – Great hold on hard snow with a light and snappy feel.
Micro-Cap Protection – Continuing efforts to improve chip-resistance in their skis, Faction incorporated a ‘micro’ cap where the topsheet meets the sidewall on sandwich constructed skis.
Die-Cut PTEX 3000 Base – Used on most Faction Skis. Sintered PTEX 3000 base material is more porous and holds wax well.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
